Competitive Sport News

We encourage students to consider participating in Pacific Representative sport options available this year. These are separate activities to Competitive Sport options as they are either short tournaments or one-off carnivals.  Please note that some representative options such as CBSQ Basketball, Senior Schools Cup Volleyball, Vicki Wilson Netball and Sunshine Coast Secondary Indoor Netball are not included in this list as students will be invited from inside current competitive sport groups.

If any students have questions about opportunities, they are encouraged to contact ljacka@pacluth.qld.edu.au

SCISSA Junior and Intermediate Soccer

Our Junior Boys Team 2 and Intermediate Girls finished the season with strong wins. All teams have shown some great development and we have seen some strong results leading into the final games of the season. We thank Miss Alice Boyd, Miss Rebecca Horsey, Mr Jack Best, Mr Rob Belchamber and Alex Lee for their ongoing commitment and effort they put into the soccer program this term.

SCISSA Senior Volleyball

Both our Senior Girls teams finished the season with impressive victories. All teams have made significant strides in their development, showcasing strong performances throughout the competition. We extend our gratitude to Sarah Ashdown, Miss Georgie Snelling, Mr Paul Brace and Henry Friend for their dedication and hard work invested in the Volleyball program throughout SCISSA this term.

Trish Buckley (Senior Volleyball)

Our Trish Buckley Pacific teams had their final matches last Friday evening. All teams have made some huge improvements throughout this term. The Year 11 Girls and Year 12 Boys played well in their final matches only just falling short of wins. Our Year 12 girls played a thriller game against Matthew Flinders which saw players going into three sets and coming away with the win. We congratulate all teams on their participation this term. A big thank you to Mr Paul Brace and Sarah Ashdown who dedicated their time each Friday evening to coach our three Pacific teams.

Monday Night Netball

There were strong results across the board from our Monday Night Netball teams this week with 7 wins from 9 games. Our two Senior teams and all Junior teams were able to come away with a win. All Pacific netball teams are continuing to improve their skill and find their team groove each week and we wish all students well as they prepare for their final games of the term, next Monday.
