On Tuesday, 87 Year 8 students visited Happy Valley, Caloundra for an outdoor learning experience. The purpose of the field trip was to learn about coastal landscapes and landforms. While exploring, students rotated through four outdoor classroom experiences, run by Year 8 Geography teachers, to understand how beaches, rocky platforms and dunes are formed and how humans have impacted on the pristine landscape. At the conclusion of the day, students had an understanding of how to manage and protect our beaches, so future generations can also enjoy the beauty and wonder of the coast.
