All Schools’ Basketball

Our Senior Basketball teams have been impressive in the way they have presented themselves and represented the College so far this season.

A big thank you to those parents who volunteer to score each week and to our coaches for giving up their time, and for their passion and enthusiasm for our players.

Week 2 Results

Please continue to check the draws for game times and locations. Any parents/siblings who can help score, please let Mr Mark Hauser know throughout the week.

Vicki Wilson Netball

Well done to all our Netball teams who competed in the Vicky Wilson Netball tournament yesterday.

PLC Sapphire and PLC Emerald were in the Championship Cup division where winning teams within each pool went to Brisbane to play the finals. Both teams played great netball. The games were tough with only very few points difference. Teams finished 4th in their pools. PLC Emerald displayed great resilience and performed well under pressure as they lost three players to the Year 8 camp and at the last minute gained a player who had never played with the team before.

PLC Pearl and PLC Jade also played well. It was a long day with each team playing seven games of netball. Special mention to PLC Jade who had 90% of players from Year 7 playing up against Year 9 students. It was a great challenge and was welcomed courageously by the team.

The students supported each other throughout the day and each player put in a huge effort. Thank you to all students and coaches. The Pacific community is proud of your achievements.

SCISSA Touch Football Results

On Wednesday afternoon our Senior Girls took on Matthew Flinders at home in their first game of the season. The girls had not had a chance to train together this year but worked really hard to compete as a team against a fast and experienced opposition. The final score was 6-2 to Matthew Flinders, but our PLC girls should be proud of their efforts throughout the game.

SSCRU Girls Rugby Results

Well done to our U14 and U16 Rugby Girls who competed in their first round of SSCRU fixtures on Wednesday afternoon. It was a great learning experience for our U14 girls, as many were trying this sport for the first time. While the results didn’t go our way, the girls should be proud of their performances on the field. A big thank you to the coaches for preparing our students for their games.

U16’s – PLC 7 – Sienna 26

U14’s – PLC 5 – Sienna 35
