Awesome, surprising, amazing, challenging, brilliant, spectacular, delicious, tasty, long walks, orientation, running, showers, lights out, cool activities, great rooms, clean bunks, bugs, flying fox, swing bridge, Talent Show, Wall E, dining room, friends, teachers, fun staff, KFC – Kindness, Fun and Cooperation.

Camp was a wonderfully successful two days spent at the well-established Luther Heights Youth Camp at Coolum. There were 61 students, three classroom teachers, one lovely teacher aide, Mr David Druery, Ms Anthea Brighton, three outdoor education specialist and ex-students, Maddi, Josh and Eliza as well as the amazing Luther Heights staff, who ran the activities, made our meals and provided us with excellent accommodation.

Below are some excerpts from the student’s letters to the Luther Heights staff:

“Thank you for making our first camp a BALL! We enjoyed it so much that we are hoping Dr Dolling will let us come back every year until Year 12. Thank you to the people who cooked us the delicious and scrumptious food and to the cleaners because everything was so clean.” - Paige Carter

“Your camp is the BEST camp EVER! My favourite part was the flying fox. The food was AMAZING! I loved every meal but the dessert was my favourite.” - Kai Sorbello

“Thank you for camp. We had a nice time with you guys. Thank you for teaching us the KFC code of conduct. You taught us a lot. I missed your camp the second my left foot stepped onto the bus to go home.” - Ayanna Nath

Thank you to all the parents who entrusted us with your precious children. Thank you to Luther Heights and thank you to Dr Peter McMahon and his team for their seamless organisation.
