Unsung Heros, The Enablers of Great Community

There are so many people who, each day, quietly go about their roles in life making a significant difference for others without any personal recognition or appreciation. Over the past month we have seen people leave their workplaces and volunteer to fight fires that have saved homes and lives. Closer to home and within our community there are people within our administration support and ground staff who through doing their roles well, support parent connection and enable teachers and students to grow together through rich and diverse learning opportunities. There are teachers who go well beyond what would be expected and parents who make significant contributions to the fabric of who we are as community. Within this mix there are students who are outward looking and focused on supporting and caring for others including the adults of the community.

We are surrounded by people who give generously to others. When it becomes such an integrated part of the fabric of who we are, it is easy to take the gifts that others give us for granted. Being immersed in a generous culture, grows people deeply from within. Part of loving our neighbour is to pause and appreciate the gifts that so many people give us.
