Student Success
Well done to Pacific students Carys Mahoney (Year 7) and Allegra Pollack (Year 5) who recently represented the Sunshine Coast at the Under 10-12 Girls School State Cricket titles in Bundaberg. This is the first time the Sunshine Coast has been represented at the state titles.
The tournament involved 100 overs of cricket each day in the first three days and a 70 over final on the fourth day, with the state team being selected from the 10 teams playing. From all reports the girls played very well against some extremely competitive teams. Some highlights included a fantastic game winning 19 not out from Carys, who opened the batting for the team and a two wicket maiden over from Allegra during one bowling spell. Well done to both girls!
