Term 2 of SCISSA sport is upon us with students continuing to participate in the sport they selected last term. Training will commence next Thursday afternoon during school time. Please note that there is no training next Monday afternoon as per the College calendar.

With the return of Mr Gary Graves from long service leave, kayaking will be offered this term. Students can choose to change from their Term 1 SCISSA sport to kayaking if they wish. Information and permission sheets will be given out to interested students next week. Training for kayaking occurs at Lake Kawana each Monday (3.15pm – 4.15pm) and Thursday (1.00pm – 3.00pm).

A bus will transport students to and from Lake Kawana for all training that occurs during school hours. A bus will transport the Year 4-6 students to Lake Kawana for Monday afterschool training sessions but parents will need to collect students from the lake when training concludes at 4.15pm. All other students from Years 7-12 will need to organise private transport to and from the venue afterschool on Monday and Thursday afternoons.

Please note that students choosing kayaking will be required to train for the remainder of this year and also represent the College at the state marathon and sprint championships.
