Regional Athletics Carnival

Pacific had a number of Junior College represenatives at the Sunshine Coast Regional Athletics Carnival last Thursday and Friday, which was held at The University of the Sunshine Coast.

• Darcy Connors – Under 10 boys high jump, long jump, 100m sprint and 200m sprint
• Harrison McDonald – Under 11 boys high jump
• Laura Callaghan – Under 12 girls 100m sprint
• Mona Finney – Under 12 girls long jump

The quality of our athlete’s performances during both days was very high. Congratulations to all of these students for finishing in the top five places in the following events:

• Darcy Connors – 1st place 200m sprint
• Harrison McDonald – 1st place high jump
• Mona Finney – 2nd place long jump
• Laura Callaghan – 5th place 100m sprint

These students have now qualified to represent the Sunshine Coast at the State Athletics Championships in October.
