The library regularly gets displays of artefacts from the Queensland Museum. These displays are set up in the library foyer and showcase fascinating objects from the past, from nature, from around the world and from science. Our first exhibition of the year, Then and Now, included domestic items from yesteryear such as a washboard, a flat iron and an egg beater. These items might be familiar to parents and grandparents, but they bemused our current students! Our new exhibition will be on display for three weeks and is on festivals from around the world. It includes items such as a ram's horn trumpet, Tibetan prayer flags and musical instruments.
