Queen Elizabeth II: A Life of Service

Many of us will have joined people around the world in reflecting on and being thankful for the life of service of Queen Elizabeth II.  Through being present for people in times of celebration and hardship the Queen has influenced the lives of millions across the world throughout her 70-year reign. She is being recognised, respected and appreciated as someone who put the needs of others before her own and fulfilled her promise to serve her people with calmness, dignity and strength.  Throughout her reign, the Queen expressed her faith and trust in God, the power of prayer and encouraged people to have hope. While being strongly committed to her faith, she was respectful and welcoming to people of different faiths, beliefs, cultures and traditions. Queen Elizabeth II has led an extraordinary life. As we pause and reflect, we say thank you.
