After many months of rehearsing and preparation, the cast and crew of The Three Musketeers production are keenly looking forward to entertaining us and we wish them well in their final preparations and for their performances.  Limited tickets are still available through the Caloundra Events Centre for people wishing to share an entertaining night of theatre with family and friends.

It was a delight to share with our Prep children the receiving of Bibles and a special bear as part of the St Mark’s @Pacific Sunday Service.  This partnership with St Mark’s is a special one for our community.  We thank our Prep families for being part of this service and in doing so serving our St Mark’s members by their presence.  Thank you to Pastor Tim, Pastor Ray, Mrs Sue Zweck and the Prep Teachers – Mrs Anna Maher, Mrs Shelley Hogan and Mrs Anne Phythian, for their leadership on this important occasion.

We congratulate our Senior C netball team on reaching the Grand final and wish them all the best for their match next week at the Caloundra Indoor Stadium at North Street, Golden Beach.  We also congratulate our Cross-Country runners who performed well at the District Cross Country this week.  A particular mention to Olivia Cooke, placed 1st in the 13 years, Imogen Hiley 2nd in the 13 years girls, Alicia Woods 2nd in the 14 years girls and Jack Connors 4th in the 14 years boys group.

We welcome Mr Chris Mundey who will be providing extra support to students and teachers across Years 4 to 9 in his role as a Learning Enrichment teacher.  Mr Mundey has had extensive experience in this area in New South Wales schools.  His addition will enable us to continue to enhance the personalisation of learning, including the enrichment of learning for students who benefit from extension.

Middle and senior college students should be well underway with preparations for their exams that occur in Week 8.  Having steady routines through the week with clear times for study, connecting with family and friends, exercise and sleep is important.  Every small step forward makes a difference.  Helping young people to maintain positive self-talk and to focus on the small steps enables them to break what can seem a mountain into smaller achievable tasks.  Planning and completing the small steps and then celebrating the achievement of each one, provides energy and momentum.

We pray for God to be with our staff, families and young people in all that they do, to give them energy and a feeling of purpose and achievement as they use their gifts for good.
