It has been exciting this week to see staff and students being able to return to being part of larger group gatherings including chapels, assemblies, music groups, staff meetings and action group activities. We gain a great deal from being able to be present with each other in community and are grateful for this opportunity to expand and deepen our connections.
We congratulate the following swimmers who have gained selection in the Sunshine Coast swimming team through submission of times. We wish Euan Lengenberg, Harlen Smith, Emily Lengenberg, Isabella Stammers and Alex Monroe all the best at the Queensland State Swimming Championships where we hope that they will be able to finally experience the joy of competition in the pool. We wish all the best to Georgia Frohmuller for her representation of the Sunshine Coast in the State Netball Championships next term, our PLC Club netball teams who commence their competition this week and our U13 and U15 boys rugby 7's teams who compete in the Fraser Coast Rugby 7's Tournament next weekend.
Changes have been made to the way in which parents access their Parent Lounge accounts in TASS. These changes were made at the start of the year to enable parents to have single sign on capabilities for both NAV and TASS and are part of the ongoing simplification and improvement of communication processes for parents. Details about this were communicated by email at the start of the year and can be found later in this newsletter in the Parent Lounge Update. We would encourage all parents to ensure that they have updated their login details.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day this week, we reflect on the importance of respecting and valuing equally the dignity and capacity of all people. When we see our common humanity there is a coming together to build capacity and opportunity.
We pray for all those affected by weather events and for the people of Ukraine. We pray that God would guide us to grow in our capacity to be discerning in our decision-making.
