We would like to congratulate Jessica Cronin, Nicole Hodgett, Grace Healey and Cody Walker on their acceptance to join the Youth Advisory Panel for the World's Largest Lesson.

These girls will participate in 6 Zoom calls over the next 6 months with students from 16 different countries. This Tuesday was the first of these calls and involved the girls returning to school from 8.00pm until 9.00pm to talk to Middle College students from Kenya, Canada, Wales, South Korea and South Africa.

In this call the students discussed a little bit about themselves and why they think that the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) are something that they should be learning about and trying to achieve. We were very impressed with the involvement that these students from the other countries had already been immersed in such as visiting the United Nations and attending an event in Rome about food insecurity.

Throughout these Zoom calls our students will learn about the United Nations 2023 Climate Change Conference being held in Dubai next week. They will develop their design thinking skills and will be taught skills that will assist them in creating change in their community regarding the Global Goals.

We are very excited about this opportunity for our students and our College to be a part of tackling these worldwide issues with their peers from around the world.
