PLC Netball Club
Whilst we have had a break from both school and netball games, the wheels of administration continue to turn. On Wednesday, the club held its Annual General Meeting and we thank all of those who participated in the process by either attending on the night or by submitting their voting slips in advance. As we work towards developing the club, ongoing engagement with and the participation of the membership body is extremely important.
A new committee was installed for the 2018 season and we wish them all the best for the coming year:
- President / Secretary: Mr Trevor Colton;
- Vice President / Treasurer: Mr Christian Gorham;
- Registration Security: Mrs Carrie Wortley;
- Umpiring Coordinator: Mrs Trisha McFadyen; and
- Equipment Manager: Mr Steve Rattey.
Importantly, the club also committed to a strategy to develop a fully mature netball club, catering for the needs of all players. Obviously, this is a long-term vision. A key focus will be wider engagement with the College’s sports program. There will be more information to follow as we move forward in this area.
This Saturday, our Ponies have an important game at 8.30am on court 6. The Ponies have had a challenging year with only seven players (no reserves) and being placed in a tough draw. To their credit they have shown great resolve, determination and character throughout the year. This week is an important game, as a win will almost certainly secure a place in the finals. Good luck, Ponies!
Mr Trevor Colton, President PLC Netball Club
