Match Reports
U6 Mantarays - A road trip to the big smoke and the close out of a monumental debut season. The breadth and depth of the Mantarays talent cannot be understated. Heavenly is a fitting description for the play as we witnessed moments of individual greatness, teamwork for the ages and of course, ferocious strikes on goal. Manager Mike

U7 Snappers - Our wonderful Snappers all played exceedingly well, working as a team to move the ball up the field. Everyone celebrated each other’s hard work, by dabbing, passing the ball, and having a blast. Everyone did so well, that we called an all-team man of the match! Snappers victory 9-0. Go Snappers! Manager Sian

U7 Stingrays - Awesome game at Stella Maris for our Stingrays. Teamwork and persistence saw the team score a win 5-3! Go Stingrays. Manager Kirsty

U8 Angelfish - The Angelfish were missing a few players so a huge thank you to Ethan and Archie who stepped in to help out. The Angelfish really put the pressure on the Caloundra Black team and had a few moments of play that were the best we have seen all season. Player of the Match went to Indie for a great effort on the field with a few shots at the goals, eventually scoring one, and the second award to Dotti for her amazing goalie skills in the second half. Excellent work Angelfish!! Manager Sharon

U9 Seahorses - The girls had another amazing day on the pitch. We lost the game against Mooloolah Copper Heads, but the scores did not reflect the display of skills. We had some very close shots at goal, with Luella hitting the back of the net with an awesome goal in the first half. The Player of the match was Louise, with incredible defence and speed throughout the game. Luella also deserved player of the match but got Captain’s Choice and super effort award as she was just on fire today. The encouragement award went to Esmae. We were missing 4 of our players, Manager Jane and Coach Greg, but they would have been proud of the whole team. Thank you to coach Phong, Owen, and Mieka for stepping in. Manager Gaby

U9 Sharks - A great effort by all. Amazing kicks by Jai, sharp kicks by Luke and great tackles by Noah. Won 2-0 Both goals were scored by Jason and Oliver. Amazing performance by Darcy who started training at 6 am! A few saves by goalie William and nice moves from Fin & Angus with high-performance passing by Kaiden & Dylan. Well-deserved win! Coach Peter

U12 Razors – The team travelled for the game against Palmwoods Celtics, trying to secure a spot in the finals. Straight away pressure by the Razors created some good opportunities and we were unlucky not to get one in the net. Solid midfield and defence play paired with a lot of hard work made the Razors the better team throughout the game. Wasn’t until deep in the second half before a goal was slotted. Determination by all made it happen, what a good win in a tense game. Well done Razors! Final competition game on Saturday before the exciting semi-finals to look forward to.

U14 Barracudas – The boys took on top 3 side Palmwoods with a plan to topple them to consolidate a top four position, with finals around the corner. The game was locked at 0-0 until close to halftime when, in one of the very few scoring opportunities on offer for both teams, Nick took his chances on a dribble and shoot play and it paid off, leaving a hapless keeper in his wake. Barracudas went into halftime at 1-0 and that was how it stayed at full time. Defenders played their hearts out to turn threats away time after time. Midfield showed courage in getting physical when required and finding sources of energy they probably didn’t know they had. Very proud of a team playing for each other and their club. Coach – Sheldon
