P-2 Athletics Carnival

On Monday morning students from Prep to Year 2 were greeted with windy conditions for the Foundation College Athletics Carnival. Students had been working towards this carnival throughout the term during Physical Education lessons, developing their skills and coordination in a range of events.

Participation was the key aim of the carnival, with all students having the opportunity to represent their house in the following events: 60m Sprint, Shuttle Relay, Long Jump, Ball Games and Sack RacesHigh Jump and Plastic Javelin Throw.

A high level of skill and teamwork was displayed from students and there was a great level of support and atmosphere from both fellow competitors and supporters watching on the day.

At the end of the carnival, scores were tallied from all the events and the overall champion house for 2018 was announced. Congratulations to Wira House who were crowned the 2018 Foundation College Athletics champions. Final scores for the day were as follows: Wira - 792, Mumba - 769, Bula - 722
