PLC 6 have made the Monday night grand final after beating Sunshine Coast Grammar in extra time last night 21-17! Well done girls and good luck next Monday in the Grand Final!

Congratulations to all six of our netball teams who competed in the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Netball Competition, spanning over the two terms.  Of our six teams, our Senior A, Junior A and Junior C teams were successful in progressing to the semi-finals.

On Monday Night, our Junior As went goal for goal against St Andrews Junior team.  Unfortunately, in the third quarter St Andrews scored two consecutive turn overs and moved ahead into the final quarter to take out the match. The final score was 23 v 15.

In our Senior As, the girls came up against Flinders second top team, and again, went goal for goal in the first quarter.  Unfortunately, an injury on court and a few turn overs meant that our Seniors were fighting to close the margin.  In the final quarter our players had nothing left in their tanks and gave it their everything; however, it was Flinder’s night. The final score was 34 vs 15.  The girls are already considering their game strategy for next year.

Our Junior C team was our third team in the finals and played against Grammar.  In the first quarter, the girls were on fire, with our shooters not missing a goal.  In the second quarter, Grammar came back fighting and in the final quarter, the two teams were shooting goal for goal.  On the final buzzer, the two teams were drawn, and the game was given ten extra minutes.  Our shooters were on fire and defenders rebounding and went for every pass.

Congratulations to our Junior C team who will be progressing into the Grand Final, playing against Caloundra SHS at Caloundra Stadium at North Street, Golden Beach, at 4.00pm, next Monday afternoon. The girls will train this Friday afternoon during sport time and a bus will be available for them to the venue.

Again, congratulations to all our teams and to our staff.

College Representative Netball Opportunity

Vicki Wilson Cup and Vicki Wilson Shield trials will be held at the Senior Courts on Thursday 31 May at 3:30- 5.00pm.  Parent consent and information has been distributed via CareMonkey for permission to attend the trials.  This is another fantastic netball opportunity for our college players.  Our Netball Development Coach, Mrs Michelle Dufty and I look forward to working with them in further growing their skills and watching them compete at what is considered the pinnacle of school netball competition.
