MakerSpace - Making Crystals

Last week in MakerSpace, we used science to make crystals. Students fashioned a shape out of pipe cleaners such as stars, snowflakes or their name and then, using fishing wire, hung it in a solution of water and borax. As the water cooled down, the borax began to crystalise and settle on the pipe-cleaners.
