To Kill A Mockingbird
To Kill A Mockingbird
The Drama Department, along with our chosen cast of 30 talented students, are very excited to present this iconic, much loved play based on the now famous novel by Harper Lee. Renowned for its warmth and humour, the play touches hearts, despite dealing with the serious issues of abuse and racial inequality.
In 2006, British librarians ranked the book ahead of the Bible as one ‘every adult should read before they die’. It was adapted into an Oscar-winning film in 1962 and since 1990, the play has been performed in Harper Lee’s hometown of Monroeville, Alabama.
The Pacific Lutheran College production will be presented in May 2016 at The Events Centre, Caloundra and we hope that the popularity of this inspiring novel will mean a packed audience! Look out for more details in the months to come.
