Years 3-6 Cross Country Carnival

A break in the unrelenting rain that we have seen for the first part of this year, greeted us with clear blue skies and great weather conditions for the annual Years 3-6 Interhouse Cross Carnival held last Friday morning. Construction work to the entrance of the Meridan Sporting complex also saw a change to the course this year with both the start and the finish situated on the College’s Main Oval. It appeared that this led to an increase in spectator engagement with parents and students up close to both the start and finish areas to cheer the runners on.

Well done to Wira house who were awarded the Spirit Trophy for some outstanding cheering and house spirit they displayed throughout the carnival. Wira were also crowned the overall champion house at the end of the carnival.

House results at the end of the carnival were as follows:

Wira      1st -  343

Bula      2nd - 321

Mumba 3rd -  286

Buran   4th  -  270

Congratulations to the following students who finished in the top three places for their age group.
