Primary School Water Polo Competition

The Primary Schools Water Polo Competition continued Monday evening with games played out at Sunshine Coast Grammar. This week our team played Noosaville State School in what turned out to be a very exciting and close game.

PLC were down 8 – 5 at the start of the fourth quarter, with Noosaville scoring another quick goal early, putting PLC four goals behind. PLC managed to come back strongly, scoring four unanswered goals to level scores at 9 – 9 which is how the scores finished.

Thanks to Mr Sam Irwin and Mr Scott Crompton who are coaching the team.

Student Success

Well done to Bailee Kiernan who represented the Independent District at the Under 12 Girls Sunshine Coast Regional Basketball trials last Wednesday and Thursday. Bailee played strongly during the tournament and was selected in the Under 12 Girls Sunshine Coast team to play at the State Championships in Townsville in May.

District Sport Trials

There are a number of Independent District sporting trials coming up. Below is the list of sports and the cut off dates. If your child has a suitable level of skill and experience in one of these sports and would like to trial, please email lmuir@pacluth.qld.edu.au to register their interest.
