Year 4-6 Monday Afternoon SCISSA Training
Year 4-6 afterschool SCISSA training resumes next Monday afternoon with students training from 3.15pm – 4.15pm. After-school training will occur each Monday through to Week 9. A reminder that all Water Polo students will be training at the Kawana Pool. Students will be transported down to the pool by the College bus and parents will need to collect their children from the pool at 4.15pm.

Attendance is taken and rolls are kept for each Monday training session. If your child is absent from training, we ask that you inform the College by contacting Junior College Reception on 5436 7389 or by email (PLCJuniorCollege@pacluth.qld.edu.au) prior to 2.45pm.

If your child is absent for the entire day, there is no need to contact the College to explain an absence for training.

Run Club
Tuesday morning marked the final PLC Run Club session for 2022 for students, staff, and parents. Run Club has been running since mid-Term One with the early sessions focused on preparing students for our College and Independent District Cross Country Carnivals.

Recently students have been increasing their running distances as they build towards the Sunshine Coast Marathon which will be held this weekend. Good luck to all PLC runners including several staff who will be participating on Sunday.

Thanks to Mrs Kim Kiernan who has led the Run Club sessions this year and the other PLC teachers who have given up their time each Tuesday morning to help supervise and run with students.

P – 2 Athletics Carnival
The P-2 Athletics Carnival will be held later this term on Wednesday 31st August (Week 8) from 10.45am – 1.00pm. Students have been practicing in a range of events during Physical Education lessons this term. A parent information letter regarding the carnival will be sent out this week with further details about the day.
