Junior Strings Success

We were excited to welcome renowned strings composer, Ms Loreta Fin OAM, to Pacific to work with our Junior Strings Ensemble on two of her compositions. Loreta lead our students in three separate rehearsals, one being a Saturday where students joined with students from other schools on the coast as well as the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra to perform in a finale concert. The combined string group of over 85 musicians was inspiring to be a part of. We congratulate all Pacific Musicians who took part in Loreta’s workshops. A special mention to the 13 students who also played on Saturday and showcased a piece that only Pacific had been learning – Well done! Thank you to Loreta for visiting the College and sharing your talent and passion for music.

New Zealand Music Tour

A reminder that expressions of Interest for the New Zealand Music Tour in 2025 are to be returned to school before the end of term. The New Zealand Music Tour is open to students who will be learning in Years 7-12 in 2025 and who already play/sing in one of the College ensembles or are prepared to commit to one of the ensembles moving forward.
