Growing Through Feedback
Growing Through Feedback
Learning to reflect, plan and act in response to feedback is a lifelong skill. As we reflect, we shift from an emotional response to one where we focus on what can be learnt from the feedback provided. An important motivator in turning our thinking into planning and action is to be clear on the “why”. Being clear on why this particular feedback is important for us individually or as a group provides the clarity and direction needed to respond thoughtfully and effectively to feedback. The “why” generates purpose and builds engagement. An important part of caring and getting the best from ourselves is to learn to take responsibility and be thoughtful and discerning in response to feedback.
As we reflect, we are conscious of God’s love and grace for us. We can pray for God to help us to be discerning and to help us to navigate a new way forward.
