Friday Night Basketball

Last week our Junior B Girls team (Year 7) played in the Pacific’s first ever Junior B Girls grand final basketball match. The Pacific team was clearly the shorter team, with the Siena Catholic College girls towering above them in a distinct advantage. However, the Pacific girl’s skills were far superior to the opposition, which made for a very interesting a close match. With only one minute remaining in the game, Pacific was down by seven points, however the girls managed a late comeback and scored a few quick points of turnovers to get within one basket of winning the match. In the end, Siena proved too strong and the girls, despite their amazing effort, lost by two points.

Congratulations to all who played including Tegan Graves, Chloe Fleming, Hayley Pearce, Courtney Page, Eliza Woods, Katie Graves, Caitlyn Barry and Gabby Gorham. It was a great effort by all. We look forward to seeing you in the A division final next year!
