Dancing Queen

Last week, Ava competed in the National Championships gaining the title of National Champion in a couple of titles. Ava also competed in a section called Champion of Champions, which is where she competed against 30 of the top dancers across Australia (including some very strong talent from Sydney) for the main Australian Champion of Champions title.

After being selected in the top 20, then the top 10, then the top 5, Ava was invited to the Gala event (similar to a Grand final) to perform once more against 4 of the strongest dancers in her age group (with some dancers already being 9 years of age whilst Ava is still 8).

She performed beautifully and came Runner-up Champion of Champions, winning herself a trip to America to dance next year as a part of Team Australia in the USA Titles. Only the Champions and Runner-up Champions receive this invitation.

Ava’s hard work and dedication to her dancing commitments are highly commendable and an inspiration to others. Congratulations!
