Connecting College and Community

Thank you to those who attended this week’s meeting. The agenda focused on various project reports including the Woolworths Earn and Learn program and OCEANfest 16. Following is a brief summary of our discussions:

Woolworths Earn and Learn

We collected a massive 464 sheets, totalling 27,840 stickers. These have been sent to Woolworths and in due course, Pacific will be able to order extra resources for the college. Thank you to everyone for supporting this program.

Friends of Pacific Storage Area

Friends of Pacific has a new storage area, situated in the D Block demountable building. We now have a beautifully organised, clean area to house and store our belongings. We appreciate the college finding us a space and assisting in the set up. Thank you also to the grounds staff and Business Office who made this possible.

OCEANfest 16

The ‘Carnivale’ theme has been confirmed and the logo is in the final stages of design. Shortly, communication will be circulated seeking expressions of interest for section convenors and a committee for the event. Please remember that many hands make light work and no matter how small your contribution may seem to you, it could make a significant difference to others.

Foundation and Junior College Christmas Carols

This year, Friends of Pacific will run a sausage sizzle at this event. We also have some busy elves putting together ‘Christmas Surprise Bags’, which will be available for purchase on the night.

AGM

The AGM and final meeting for the year will be on Tuesday 17^th November. We warmly invite the community to attend.
