Last Friday marked the end of the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Basketball season for our Pacific teams. There were more than 195 teams who competed in the competition throughout Semester 2 and Pacific was fortunate to have 15 teams participate in various divisions across six different age groups. Overall, Pacific had five teams represented in finals matches: four senior division teams and one intermediate girls team, who played their semi final game last week. Our Year 11 Senior E Boys team successfully won their season and I look forward to working with them again in 2021.

Meanwhile, we also have numerous rugby, soccer and water polo teams who have been steadily competing each week during Terms 3 and 4. I thank all students who give up their time and commit to their teams on a weekly basis, along with our dedicated coaches. In a first this year, we also entered a team in the recent inter-school mountain biking challenge. Pacific had eight students represent the College and had two podium finishes, against schools with highly established programs. Well done to our students and thank you to Mr Chris Bartlett for his leadership and organisation of this event this year.

It has been great to see so many students participate in the breadth of co-curricular sporting opportunities this year. I encourage all students to consider what opportunities they could be a part of in 2021.

Year 10-11 Drivers

Any student who is driving to school needs to have completed a driver permission form and submit it to the main reception. Forms are available from the Wellbeing Centre. For more information, please contact me directly.

Year 12 Graduation

Parents and students who are attending Year 12 celebrations (Graduation, Final Chapel and Formal) are asked to please RSVP their intentions as soon as possible. Please also book a time for family photos at the formal with Mrs Leanne Bevis if you have not already done so.

Senior College Exams

We wish students all the very best for their exams this term. Year 12 students are in the final stages of their external assessments and this is an exciting time for them all. We thank Middle and Senior College students for their consideration in ensuring that our Year 12 cohort had quiet space for their exams. We wish Year 10 students all the very best for their exams which are commencing this week, as well as the Year 7-9 students for next week. Please note that normal uniform expectations still apply and students will be required to attend all exams in their formal uniform each day.
