Pacific Lutheran College has several sports development programs outside of school hours. These programs encourage participation, giving students the opportunity to be part of a team, and learn basic skills of the game.
The parent-led Pacific FC Soccer and PLC Netball Clubs compete on Saturdays in community competitions throughout the Sunshine Coast.

This Saturday 11th March is our Grading ‘Round-robin’ games at Caloundra Indoor Stadium. Each team will play three or four games (8-minute halves, 2-minute halftime). The day is split into two sections with Divisional teams (Div. 1 to Div. 7) in the morning (8.00am – 11.30am) and younger teams (U12s, U11s, SET and GO) in the afternoon (11.45am – 4.30pm). PLC will have a Gazebo set-up as our central point of meeting the coaches and managers and distribution of dresses for those players that do not have one yet. Game details have been provided to all coaches and managers so please contact them if you haven’t received any information yet.
Training is going very well. Please remember that all players are required to participate in their weekly training as their involvement allows:
• The body to gradually build up strength and endurance for games
• Builds motivation, ambition, and confidence
• Improved knowledge of netball skills and strategies
• Players on the team to learn more about every other player
• Makes the team more connected and understanding of each other.
If someone is unable to attend training, please contact your team coach or manager (in the first instance) or the President email as a last resort. Please ensure your team manager and coach have your correct contact details (email and mobile phone number).
Each team requires a manager to assist with coordination of communication for the team and some other duties on game day (e.g., scoring, collection of game card, ensuring all players sign the card etc.). If your team does not yet have a manager, please consider taking on this small, but very important, role for your child’s team.
PLC Mavericks need both a team coach and manager. If this is your team, please contact the President if you are interested in either of these roles. First-time coaches (unrelated to the team) are welcome as the Club will support you through completion of the Coaches Foundation course.
We welcome any suggestions for helping our club or providing feedback if you have any concerns.
