Children's Crossing

The Children’s Crossing is now operational on Woodlands Boulevard. The Queensland Government provides the following information regarding the use of children’s crossings.

Crossing the road:

Children’s crossings operate only when the ‘Children’s Crossing’ flags are displayed. They are designed to help children cross the road safely near schools. To use a supervised children’s crossing:

• Wait on one side of the road for the supervisor to walk out on the crossing with a stop sign; and
• Cross the road once traffic has stopped and the crossing supervisor has blown the whistle.

When driving towards a supervised crossing:

• Stop when the supervisor walks onto the road with a stop sign; and
• Wait until the crossing is clear before accelerating.
