Every student has the right to be safe and free from harm while at Pacific Lutheran College and all College staff have mandatory child protection reporting responsibilities designated by legislation.

Our Child Protection Policy has been updated to clarify reporting responsibilities. Should a staff member receive any information alleging harm to a student, the staff member is required to report this to the Principal. In the instance that the Principal is alleged to have caused the harm to a student, the information must be reported to the Executive Director of Education, Lutheran Education Queensland if it relates to sexual, or likely, sexual abuse, or to the Council Chairperson, in all other instances of harm.  A copy of the Child Protection Policy is available in Parent Lounge.
