UQ - Experience Marine Biology (Years 11 and 12)

Australia boasts more maritime territory than land, and marine industries contribute substantially to Australia’s economy. Our unique group of researchers work on all aspects of marine biology, from the cellular and genetic to the ecosystem level, on marine ecosystems from the equator to the poles, and over timespans of days to millions of years.

Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (Year 12)
Value: Up to $15,000 AUD per year
Open/Closing Dates: August 29th 2022 – October 10th 2022
The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) is designed to encourage and assist undergraduate students in health-related disciplines to complete their studies and join the health workforce. The scheme provides scholarships for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people studying an entry level health course.

UQ Excellence Scholarship is part of the UQ Academic Scholarship program. This scholarship was established in 2008 and is maintained by funds from The University of Queensland and donors.

Tax, Super + You Competition (Years 7-12)
If you’re a student in Year 7–12, we want you to unleash your creativity and find a new way to tell us about tax and super. This competition will not only give you an insight into the value of tax and super, but you have the chance to win a share of $7,600 in prizes.
For your chance to become Australia’s next tax and super creative genius, you must:
- be a student in Year 7–12
- be enrolled in the Australian education system
- only submit up to three entries per person/group
- complete a separate entry form to accompany each entry
- complete a separate photo consent form for each person shown in your entry
- comply with the terms and conditions.
There is no entry fee.

First Pitch Competition (Years 11 and 12)
First Pitch calls on budding young entrepreneurs aged up to 18 to enter their best business pitch for the chance to win great prizes.
You can submit a 3-minute pitch on a business innovation or idea that can make a difference in your community and Australia-wide. Your pitch will be judged by a local panel of entrepreneurs and business professionals, and the state winners get to participate in the national championship.

KSP Poetry Awards (Years 5 – 12)
The KSP Writers’ Centre is proud to present this annual poetry competition for Australian writers, which is free for young people from 10 to 17 years to enter, thanks to sponsorship from the Shire of Mundaring. Entries must be original and unpublished. All poetry styles and themes are acceptable.
