Allergy Awareness Week

Allergy Awareness week will be held from 14^th to 20^th May. At Pacific, we have a number of students who suffer from life threatening allergic reactions when exposed to peanuts and other nut products. Students can also suffer severe allergic reactions caused by other allergens such as insect bites and a variety of other food products. In the case of peanuts and nut products, avoidance is the only way to prevent a reaction. This issue impacts on the entire College community. As such, parents are asked to not send nut or peanut products of any kind to school with their children. Examples of products that contain peanuts are peanut butter, Nutella, peanut bars and some muesli bars and health bars. Please check food labels if you are unsure.
