Learn to Surf Program

On Monday morning, 24 students from Years 2 -5 took part in their first session of our Learn to Surf Program down at Happy Valley. This program is run in conjunction with North Caloundra Surf School.  Students spent the first part of the session on the beach, learning about board handling, correct foot placement and the pop up. Once these fundamental skills were covered, students then hit the water to put these newfound skills into practice.

It was great to see many of our keen young students popping up on their board and riding the small, clean waves to the shore. Everyone enjoyed the session and are eagerly looking forward to continuing to improve their surfing ability over the three remaining sessions.
