‘Buzby of the Buffalo’ Play
‘Buzby of the Buffalo’ Play
Thank you to everyone who supported our ‘Buzby of the Buffalo’ play on Monday. The Speech and Drama students put on a fabulous and funny performance and we’ve been receiving the most amazing feedback from those who attended.
It was wonderful to see all the older students taking the younger ones under their wings and making them feel so comfortable and part of something special. The leadership shown by students running rehearsals and taking the initiative to do the many jobs that were needed was just so impressive.
Our special guest Mrs Frances Wregg, the writer of the children’s book upon which the play is based, was smitten with the way the student actors brought her story to life. One of the photos below shows her with Tanika M. who played Mrs Wregg’s convict ancestor, Jean Wise.
We are so proud of all our students who participated. A big shout out to Jenny and Teena from Friends of Pacific and Costume Makers Sian and Melinda whose help we couldn’t have done without. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the generous donations from our audience members, we raised $408.70 for the Australian Marine Conservation Society!
