This week our Intermediate Boys took on St Andrew’s Anglican College in the 2015 SCISSA soccer grand final. The Pacific boys were undefeated in the lead-up to the match, however St Andrew’s proved a strong team on the night.

After leading the match 1-0 in the first five minutes, Pacific dominated the game with possession in their attacking half for most of the game. A sneaky St Andrew’s goal in the first half levelled the game at 1-1. Deep into the second half, Pacific had many goal opportunities to break the deadlock, but failed to crack the St Andrew’s defence.

As the game was looking like it would head into extra-time, St Andrew’s made a break-through and chipped a goal over the top of the team to lead 2-1 and ultimately win the game.

It was a great effort by all and a great game to watch. Congratulations to all the boys on a fantastic season. I hope to see you all playing again in 2016. Well done to Mr Brendan Delaney for coaching the boys and getting them in to the grand final.

Mr Mark Hauser, Head of Sport
