The University of Queensland has announced a number of changes to several programs commencing in 2016, 2017 and 2018. These changes need to be noted with regards to the information printed in the current 2016 QTAC Guide, the 2017 Tertiary Prerequisites Guide and the 2018 Tertiary Prerequisites Guide. Please amend your copy of these publications accordingly:

  • Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning will now be available for Semester 1 and 2 entry as of Semester 2 2016.
  • Bachelor of Multimedia Design will be discontinued as of Semester 1 2017. Multimedia studies will become a new major in the Bachelor of Information Technology.
  • Bachelor of Music and dual Music programs: as of Semester 1 2017, applicants for these programs will no longer be required to meet the Year 12 Music or AMEB prerequisite.
  • Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences: as of Semester 1 2018, the prerequisites for this course will be Year 12 English, Mathematics A, B or C, plus one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
  • Change to Music major offer rounds for current Year 12 students: The major offer round for Bachelor of Music (Honours) is 17th December 2015 as listed in the ‘QTAC Guide’. However, for Music dual degrees, the major offer round will now be on 14th January 2016.

This may have implications for how you order your preferences before relevant offer rounds.
