PLC Netball
2019 has been a growth year for PLC with the introduction of our ladies’ teams. The teams play social netball as a means of bringing together parents, teachers, students and members of the wider Caloundra community. By the end of the season, the club was able to field three teams within the Tuesday night social competition. The competition is open to girls age U14 and older. We are particularly proud for our three mother/daughter combinations, one of which was on display on Tuesday night.
Tuesday saw our ‘PLC Almighty Appaloosas’ take on the ‘Sunflower Mums’, in the elimination final. It was a physical game, with intensity and passion displayed by both sides. This is a side made up of parents, Year 9 and Year 10 students.
The game was a struggle in the first quarter going goal for goal in what could best be described as an arm wrestle. The second half proved decisive, with the Appaloosas (aided by some ‘younger legs’) pulling away to win 40 to 19. Well done on a great effort!
We are back again next week to play the grand final at 7:00pm at CDNA. Come and support the team..
