Student Success

Congratulations to Georgia Woods and Daniel Bounty for their success at the State Athletics Championships. Both Daniel and Georgia represented the Sunshine Coast in the 800m and 1500m events. After making it into the finals, Daniel ran superbly to finish with bronze in the 800m and silver in the 1500m. Georgia made it through to the 1500m final. In a fantastic effort, Georgia managed to finish 4th, narrowly missing out on state team selection.

Following trials held over the past month, three Pacific students have also been selected in Sunshine Coast representative cricket teams to contest the QJC State Titles in December. Josh Aldous has been picked to represent the region in the Under 16 championships in Brisbane, while Ethan Hall was selected in the Under 15s (being hosted by Charters Towers). Joseph Higginson is off to Mackay for the Under 14s carnival.
