PLC Students are encouraged to join with thousands of other school children across Australia and walk, scoot or skate to school for Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 18th May 2018.

Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual, national event that celebrates primary school children walking and commuting safely to school. It seeks to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.

This year all students at PLC are invited to participate in this event - by walking to school, you’ll get some great exercise and quality time with friends, as well as reducing traffic congestion and vehicle pollution.

If you feel you live too far away to walk from home, an alternative is to meet other students, staff and families at Oakdale Park, Oakdale Circuit, Currimundi and walk to school from there.  It’s a short walk - approximately only 850 metres. PLC staff and senior students will be there at 8.00am for an 8.05am departure.

If possible, parents and or carers are invited to join with their children in walking, all or part of the way from home to school on the day, to ensure the safety of our students.
