Student Attendance Before and After School
Student Attendance Before and After School
A friendly reminder that students should only be in attendance at the College from 8.00am each morning, as this is when formal staff supervision commences. Students in Prep to Year 6 are able to attend the before school care program and parents are invited to contact the College to organise enrolment if this is necessary for your family. Staff will be supervising the P-2 car park and Meridan Plains car park until 3.30pm and in the Year 3-12 car park and the Woodlands Boulevard bus stop until 3.40pm each afternoon. All students should be collected from school by this time.
Due to the building works which have commenced, students waiting to be collected from P-2 are asked to wait with the designated teacher at the Prep steps each afternoon. Students are not to wait in front of the library as there is no supervision in this area. Parents of Prep to Year 6 students who are unable to collect their children by 3.30pm each afternoon are asked to contact the College to enrol in the after school care program. Any students not collected from the P-2 car park area by 3.30pm will be taken to the main administration office, where staff will contact parents. They will be supervised in this area until collected.
For Years 3-12, students will be asked to wait for parents in the new bus sheds in the Year 3-12 car park. This will allow students to be fully supervised and to avoid the areas currently under construction. We ask that parents too reinforce these arrangements with their child so that there is no confusion in the afternoon. Any students not collected from the car park area by 3.40pm will be taken to the middle/senior administration office, where staff will contact parents. They will be supervised in this area until collected.
Students who wish to use the library for study may attend until 4.00pm but should be promptly collected by parents at this time as there is no further supervision after 4.00pm. Students are not to wait outside the library. Any students not collected from the library by 4.00pm will be taken to the main administration office where staff will contact parents. They will be supervised in this area until collected. On Year 4-6 SCISSA training afternoons, the library will remain open until 4.15pm so that students catching the school bus or being collected by parents can be supervised until this time.
Any activities organised by the College before and after school will be supervised by staff as normal and parents are asked to drop or collect their students at the appropriate times, advised by the supervising staff.
We appreciate your cooperation in assisting us to keep your children safe.
Mrs Tanya Crooks, Director of Staff
