Junior Boys Champion Schools Basketball Team

Last week, a group of Year 7/8 PLC boys had their first run at high level tournament play in the Sophomore CBSQ Tournament held at Coomera. It was a big challenge for our team, and they came up against some quality opposition. The team demonstrated improvement as the tournament progressed and were able to win their final game in a strong showing. Thank you to Mr Burdon and Connor Dines for their support of the team during this tournament.

Sunshine Coast Secondary School’s Water Polo

Congratulations to both the Intermediate Girls and Junior Boys for making the Semi Finals in their divisions. The Intermediate Girls will play at 5.20pm at Sunshine Coast Grammar on Monday with the Junior Boys playing at St Andrews at 5.20pm. We wish both teams and coaches the best of luck.

Sports Awards

Our Years 7-12 Sports Awards Assembly is just around the corner and we are looking forward to celebrating another year of fantastic student engagement in PLC Sport on the 16^th of November. Alongside our MVP and Coaches’ Awards this year, we will also be awarding Bronze, Silver and Gold Sport Endeavour awards based on participation in PLC Sport teams as well as Year Level Sport Champions. All parents are welcome to join us for this event.

Student Acknowledgements

Congratulations to Saxon Mathers who recently competed in the Junior World ISF Titles. Even though Saxon is 13 years, he competed in the 15 years and under division where he placed 8th out of 63 riders.

Well done on this amazing achievement Saxon!
