Pacific Lutheran College has several sports development programs outside of school hours. These programs encourage participation, giving students the opportunity to be part of a team and learn basic skills of the game.
The parent-led Pacific FC Soccer and PLC Netball Clubs compete on Saturdays in community competitions throughout the Sunshine Coast.
PLC Netball Club
Last Saturday saw some good results for Mavericks (Div 7) (19-8) and Avengers U12-1 (30 – 23), a forfeit win for Fireballs (Div 1) and closely contested battles for Rebels (U12-2), Patriots (Div 4) and Fury (Div 2).
Our teams are improving each week and the smiles from our players are an indication of the fun they are all having on court.
Please ensure your daughter wears the correct uniform as CDNA have a strict uniform policy that may result in a player not being able to take the court. Dresses must be long enough to cover the bike pants when walking – or bike pants of a suitable length not to show beneath the dress. Bike pants must be a dark colour (blue or black). Please ensure all players conform to these Association requirements.
Please LET THE COACHES DO THEIR JOB. Although you might think you know best how to coach the team, someone was selected for the job. Please don’t confuse the athletes by giving instructions during the game or during breaks. Be a supporting spectator and encourage your daughter to listen to the coach during the game and go to their coach during quarter and half time.
If someone is unable to attend training or the game, it is important to contact your Team coach or Manager (in the first instance) or the President’s email as a last resort. Please ensure your team manager and coach have your correct contact details (email and mobile phone number).
