Congratulations, Farewell and Thank You

This week we farewell our Year 12 cohort of 2022. As a cohort they have provided strong leadership, having been instrumental in the planning and introduction of College Chaplains, the development of Beyond Pacific, a program that will support future Senior students to strengthen engagement and agency within and beyond the Pacific community, and inspired people through Chapels and connections with their Year 2 buddies. Their participation in the Strategic Planning Day was inspirational with insightful contributions. The efficacy of the Pacific Action Groups has strengthened with the introduction of an improved waste system into the Middle and Senior College, the design of logos and mascots and an outdoor environmental spiritual retreat space. As Pacific House Captains and Seniors, there has been great energy during House and pastoral care activities throughout the year. Strong support for service events including Sleep Out for the Homeless and The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal as well as large community events have provided long-term benefits for people within and beyond our community.  Strong engagement with the academic, pastoral, sporting, spiritual and cultural life of the College has seen them make a significant contribution to all areas of College life. 

We congratulate each of our Year 12 students on their achievement and thank them for the relationships they have built and the service they have given within our community. As they have engaged with community, they have inspired hope and enhanced agency. We pray that they continue to be hope-filled through the sure knowledge of God’s love and grace for them and shine the light of hope and possibility within their families and the broader community.
