On the 9th and 10th October, a group of keen Duke of Edinburgh climbers and abseilers from Year 6 to 11 headed north to test their limits both physically and mentally on the cliffs of Brooyar State Forest.

Students set up their base camp at Glastonbury Creek and headed up to ‘Hungry Jack’s’ cliffs. After a safety briefing, students set out to conquer the cliffs, encouraging each other to reach the top.  After a quick splash in the creek, they cooked a BBQ and enjoyed the night under the stars.  Sunday was a day of pushing limits where students rotated through climbing and abseiling the 40m cliffs of ‘Eagles Nest’.  A well-earned ice cream on the drive back home was a wonderful conclusion to a weekend of adventure.
