INFQ Secondary Schools Indoor Netball Tournament
Three Pacific Lutheran College teams competed at the INFQ Secondary Schools Indoor Netball Tournament last Thursday and Friday. It was an awesome effort by all our teams who competed admirably across the two-day tournament.
Our 7/8 team played well and finished 5th overall in the competition. The 11/12 came runners up in a close final with a tight score of 25-23. MVP chosen for the 11/12 Grand Final was Charlotte McDonagh.
The Year 9/10 Team won their Grand Final 35-5 with MVP honours going to Georgia Frohmuller.
An outstanding result from these girls who will be invited to compete at the next level of competition. Thank you to all players and coaches for their efforts throughout the tournament.
Sunshine Coast All Schools’ Touch Football
On Sunday, three Pacific Lutheran Touch Football Teams competed at the Sunshine Coast All Schools’ Tournament at Glasshouse Mountains.
It was a huge day for our students with some teams playing all the way to 5pm.
Our teams competed well throughout the day and fought hard against some quality competition.
Thank you to the students who committed to training early mornings in preparation for this event and thank you to Mr Danzey for his unwavering commitment to preparing all the teams for the tournament and giving his time for the event on Sunday.
13-19 Years District Athletics
It is fantastic to see so many students confirming their attendance to represent the College at the upcoming District Athletics Carnival. Students have been reminded that for the next two Monday afternoons we would like our student athletes to attend training with our specialist coaches. We have organised coaching sessions for sprints, middle distance running and throws. High Jump practice will also be available. I look forward to seeing lots of our team out there next week.
Student Acknowledgement
Congratulations to Alexander Lee for his selection in the Lord’s Taverners Squad for Cricket which is a pathway for Premier and QLD Cricket. Well done!
